Visit to Our Lady of Guadalupe!

6/1/2026

We are so grateful to God for the oppurtunity to visit our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico a few weeks ago! Thank you very much to all who donated and prayed for us so that we could go on this pilgrimage. Please enjoy some pictures of our trip.

We had an amazing veiw from our hotel room on the 18th floor. The elevator was an interesting experience for some, as the walls were made of glass!

Here we are on our way to visit the shrine on the first day of the pilgrimage. We saw some beautiful murals as we walked the streets of mexico with our fellow pilgrims.

Everyone got to leave a rose for our Lady.

The Tabernacle in the Blessed Sacrament chapel was HUGE.

Mass is Celebrated in the "New Basilica" every hour of the day from 6am-8pm.

The Crucifix shown below was damaged in the 1921 bombing attempt that was meant to destroy the image of Our Lady. The tilma was completely unharmed, but the crucifix on the altar was destroyed and the altar damaged.

The "Old Basilica", which has Adoration all day.

Our guide used sister's scapular to show how St Juan Diego took the roses, arranged by our Lady, before we began our ascent of Tepayac hill. On top of the hill is the "Chapel of the Roses," built on the spot where it is believed that St Juan found the miraculous roses at Our Lady's instruction.

We have more Pictures! Please stay tuned for Part 2 of our pilgrimage series!

If you are viewing this on a mobile device, you won't see the descriptions on the photos. Please get on your computer to see some short summaries of the trip!
