Volunteers and Donations
We love our volunteers!
We are very grateful to all of the individuals, families, and groups who serve Our Lord Jesus Christ by assisting us with all our Mission needs.
We can always use a helping hand giving the love of Jesus to all we serve! Tasks vary greatly day to day, but some common volunteer opportunities include:
Greeting neighbors and assessing their needs
Registering new moms and gathering items for them
Assembling new baby welcome baskets
Sorting baby and children's clothing
Sorting, assembling and and cleaning baby items
Stocking inventory of food
Picking veggies in the summer time
Assembling bags of food for neighbors
Repackaging bulk food donations
Maintenance and cleaning
and more!
Families with children are welcome to volunteer! Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Adult volunteers must:
Have a background check preformed and be acceptable
Be Virtus compliant ("protecting God’s children" program)
May not receive assistance from the Rose Garden Mission
Volunteers will also be asked to complete our survey. You can complete it at the Mission or you can complete it at home and bring it with you. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail us at rosegardenmission@gmail.com

To safe-guard everyone's dignity, all volunteers are required to wear modest/respectful clothing when volunteering. Here are some guidelines:
Skirts/dresses must be below the knee
Shorts should be knee length- even for boys
Leggin's or jeggin's must be worm with a skirt/dress over them
Spaghetti straps and short shorts are not allowed
Clothing should not be skin-tight
Crop tops and low-cut necklines are not allowed
No droopy pants or t-shirts with obscene or malicious graphics
To keep an atmosphere of peace, we also ask that volunteers refrain from wearing attire that endorses any political figures/parties when volunteering.

Baby Basket specific items
Our baby baskets contain most items that a mom will need in the first few weeks after the baby comes home.
Some people call it a "baby shower in a basket"! All our baby baskets contain one or more of the following items:
Size 1 and size Newborn diapers
Large packs of wipes
Baby wash, shampoo, powder and lotion
Safety Q-tips
Diaper rash cream
Outfits, sleepers and Onesies sizes 0-3m and 3-6m
Baby socks, hats and mittens
Baby blankets and receiving blankets
Washcloths, burp cloths and bibs
Baby nail-clippers, hair brushes and nasal aspirators
Pacifiers
Bottles
Bottle brushes
Rattles, teethers and stuffed animals
Board books or cloth books
Baby spoons
Our moms love handmade items! It means so much to them to receive a knitted or crocheted baby blanket, hat, booties, toy, or a REAL, hand-made baby quilt. Many of them do not have family who are truly supportive of them, so to receive a baby item made with love and prayer really lets them know that they are loved. We are truly grateful for the knitters, crocheters, quilters and seamstresses who take the time to make our baby baskets extra special!
Each mom also receives a special gift bag for HER when she comes in for her baby basket. "Mommy bags" include a variety of women's hygiene and sanitary items, candy, fuzzy socks, small household items and small gift items such as bracelets or perfume to make her feel special, too.
Food Pantry Donations
We will accept any non-expired food items. We are equipped for Fresh,
Refrigerated, Frozen and Non-perishable food donations!
Medical Donations
We also accept medical supplies, non-expired medications and insulin,
as well as most medical equipment. If we do not have a patient in need
of a donated medical item, we will send that item to another agency
that does. It WILL be put to use!
Financial Donations
We always appreciate financial donations as well. Please send donations to P.O. Box 122070, Covington KY, 41012
Checks can be made out to "The Rose Garden Mission", "The Friends of the Rose Garden Mission", "The Rose Garden Center for Hope and Healing", or "The Franciscan Daughters of Mary" depending on where you would like your donation to be used.
You can also donate online by clicking the button below. You will be taken to an external site called "Vanco" that we use to process our online donations.
Prayer and Sacrifice
We ALWAYS need prayers!! Please pray for us and our ministries!
Please know that even if you are unable to volunteer or donate in any other way, we appreciate your prayer just as much- and those prayers are just as useful, if not more so! If you are suffering in anyway, or if you know someone who is, please ask them to offer their suffering for us!!
Prayer and sacrifice are very much undervalued these days, and when we get to Heaven we will see just how much was done through the prayers and sufferings of faithful souls.

Thank You!!!
